Champion Home Buyers, LLC, a start-up real estate investment company, came to me with an identity project. They needed everything to be designed; from their logo, to different pieces of collateral materials. I needed to brand this new business from scratch.
When designing the logo, I played around with multiple different parts of buildings, and finally settled on the roof peak to be one of the main pieces. The roof peak motif appears in multiple collateral pieces giving continuity to the brand and the logo portrays the masculine feel I was going for.
The rich yellow and black colors lend high contrast and pop on whatever color background depending on which variant of the logo is used.
I got to play with a UV spot gloss on the business card every where there was black and yellow, adding an attention to detail that their clients will take notice of.
